I returned to Cincinnati from Paris last night around 12:30am. I dont think I’ve ever been as exhausted.

I really wanted to post something when I was actually in Paris, but I forgot my USB cord to upload photos, and I didn’t want to get in the way of the very sweet uncle that allowed me to traipse around his work flat for a week.

So, there’s a lot to say, but I might as well post pictures to explain my adventure, which now has me moping around the house waiting for the jet lag and the heartache to wear off. On the other hand, SF tomorrow, whaaat.

My feeble attempt at capturing the awesomeness of le metro

At this point, I distinctly remember my knees aching from walking around forever...

Departure from Paris. Ughhhh.

Well, that’s all for now. My next post will be from San Francisco!

Travel is exhausting. I have taken a car, a plane, a shuttle bus, another plane, a bus, and le metro to get here.

On the bright side, I’m in Paris.

Okay, now off to sleep (of course).

I’ve been incredibly busy with coursework but it seems like lately I have been sketching whenever I get distracted (which happens to be every ten minutes.) Also, I painted a mug the other day but I’m waiting for it to get back from the kiln! For now, here’s a replica of the illustration I drew on my mug:

Reminds me that spring is soon....

Also, why is it incredibly difficult for me to find a decent map of Paris? I just like to have a mental image of the city I’m about to explore.

Google search produced these results:

In case I need to find all the monuments?

Map of Paris on a cake... great!

But, I’m just as excited even if I can’t find a helpful map. Here is a shot I took last September in Paris, and I’m posting it only because I still can’t stop thinking about seeing everything again. So excited!

And last, some fashion things:

Waterfall Jersey Jacket, Topshop

H&M Fashion Studio... Have you tried it? Sort of addicting...

(dying to wear this in Paris)

So, I just planned an impromptu trip to Paris in March. I live in Cincinnati, in the middle of the US, so this trip is more than thrilling for me. Et pourquoi? Parce que je veux rendre visite á mon petite ami en Paris. (And why? Because I want to visit my boyfriend in Paris.) Devastatingly romantic, I know. In fact, I am learning French for this man. We met when he studied abroad here in the US in the Fall. Ever since then, we have been able to talk occasionally on Skype and write letters, but I really cannot wait to see him again (and so soon!)

But honestly, I don’t really have anything to wear (and sadly all my money is paying for this plane ticket… agh!) Also, the stores here in Cincinnati do not offer the clothes I adore. I love Zara, Mango, Topshop, H&M, but these stores can’t be found in the Midwest! So I am just obsessing over this outfit. I am a huge fan of stripes, black and white contrast, and heels– could this be any more perfect? I don’t think so. I could explain exactly why I am in love with every single piece, but that may get tedious. I can only hope that I will win this outfit and be able to wear it out in Paris, avec mon chouchou. It would be…. parfait. And I can’t help it… my hopes are high.
